The Anvil Moleskin- Weathered Navy
We take pride in our meticulous craftsmanship, exemplified in "The Anvil" Shirt Jacket. Unlike traditional two-dimensional patterns used for tops, we use an advanced 3D pattern to create this exceptional piece. By incorporating side panels as the third dimension, we achieve unparalleled control over the garment's shape, resulting in an impeccable fit. Complete with vintage-inspired rounded chest and hand warmer pockets, cat-eye buttons, and nylon-lined cuffs, "The Anvil" Shirt Jacket effortlessly blends classic style with modern innovation.
Moleskin has its earliest origins in medieval Europe, where the fabric was first made to be used by farmers and hunters who needed clothing that was comfortable, warm, durable, and wind-resistant.
We were not satisfied by merely reproducing this vintage material, so in true Kato form, we made a few subtle adjustments to further improve durability, comfort, and finish. The thread count and density of the fabric were increased to improve durability. This higher tension also gives the finish of the Moleskin a deeper luster that will enhance the unique aging qualities of this jacket.
This 100% cotton shirt jacket has been sulfur piece dyed and heavily rinsed for a very broken-in look and feel.
